Our tote bags are made from soft, durable, poly-poplin fabric and include a 1" black strap for easy carrying on your shoulder.   All seams are double-stitched for added durability.   Each tote bag is machine-washable in cold water and is printed on both sides using the same image.

Amoebas are voracious predators of bacteria. They travel with a slow oozing motion, extending temporary “false feet” to slide across surfaces or engulf their food. Their flexibility allows them to reach bacteria in the tiniest soil pores that other predators can’t access.

My goal is to inspire curiosity by imagining how microscopic creatures might look if we could see them in their natural habitats, and view them as amazing wildlife rather than "specimens" in a laboratory. Many of us are unsettled by the thought of invisible microscopic life forms all around us, so I try to balance the "ick factor" by showing that these creatures can be beautiful. The microscopic world is truly fantastic and offers a lot of inspiration for fantasy themes, which you will see in some of my more playful work like the hookah-smoking tardigrade inspired by the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland.
