Choanoflagellates metal print by Kate Solbakk. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

About Kate Solbakk
My goal is to inspire curiosity by imagining how microscopic creatures might look if we could see them in their natural habitats, and view them as amazing wildlife rather than "specimens" in a laboratory. Many of us are unsettled by the thought of invisible microscopic life forms all around us, so I try to balance the "ick factor" by showing that these creatures can be beautiful. The microscopic world is truly fantastic and offers a lot of inspiration for fantasy themes, which you will see in some of my more playful work like the hookah-smoking tardigrade inspired by the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland.
